“You were once wild here. Don’t let them tame you.”
~ Isadora Duncan
Women are the healers, the visionaries, and the fierce protectors of all that is vulnerable and as the collective wild feminine rises, women are being called into leadership during this disruptive and historic time.
A rise into leadership requires physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual stamina to have maximum influence and impact.
Women must fortify themselves and each other with nourishing food, movement, thoughts, community, and intuition in order to take bold action wherever it is needed in our lives and spheres of influence.
Those actions may be small and private... or big, public, and world-changing, but they are what our loved ones, communities, and the earth need most from us right now.
Wild Feminine Archetype
(as described by The Wild Woman Project)
Powerful, fierce, undomesticated, untamed, intuitive
Devotional to ‘the great family of things’ (quote from Mary Oliver)…to the interconnected and interdependent web of life.
She loves! She loves! She loves! Feels like a ferocious love. Big. Boundless.
Connected to nature, to family, to her sisters.
Her heart is with the goodness and for the betterment of the highest good
She is sometimes perceived as ‘disagreeable’ because there are decisions being made on behalf of people, plants, animals, and the earth that are out of alignment with the greater good of the ‘great family of things’
Wild women can sit with their own heart, truth, and inner garden in the dark - this relationship with our inner life can become our deepest, most intimate relationship of our lives
Wild women are not obedient to anything but their own inner guidance
heightened capacity for devotion
relational by nature
possessed of great endurance and strength
intensely concerned with their young, their mates, and their pack
experienced in adapting to constantly changing circumstances
fiercely loyal, reliable, and very brave
One of the ways in which women can harness the power of nature and connect to the wild feminine is through monthly participation in New Moon Circles.
The moon is an embodiment of the feminine: in a constant state of change, teaching us the creative cycle and our unpredictable feminine nature. We are never the same - always changing - and this is to be celebrated!
New Moon time is a time for seeding our intentions.
Each new moon we have the opportunity to (re)align with nature ~ journeying inward to set powerful intentions for our lives in the coming month.
Moon by moon, this shared ritual invites us to finely tune our personal, professional, and/or spiritual paths to heal ourselves, each other, our loved ones, our communities, and our shared home on this beautiful planet.
Moon circles are not associated with a singular path or religion, but rather an inclusive coming together of women from all paths and spiritual/cultural backgrounds to gather in the spirit of:
Intentional Sisterhood: unconditional support and empowering one another to answer the call of our unique missions
Fierce Love, Respect, & Devotion to the Earth and All the Wild Things: tuning into our own innate wildness, turning to nature as a teacher
Awakening Our Inner Wild: tapping into our wild feminine power and intuition
Wild Woman New Moon Circles are held by a trained Wild Woman Project Circle Leader, and offer women a sacred space for heart-centered community, connection, and self-exploration through:
guided visualizations & meditations
sharing & witnessing
tuning into our inner wild & intuition
intention setting for the coming month
relationship building with nature
and more as we unite under a common theme each New Moon
Join us for a restorative evening together within the safety of circle, as we (re)kindle a soulful relationship with nature, indulge in a few hours of self-love and love for others, and amplify our leadership in our own lives and contribution to the collective rise of the wild feminine. Circles are held both locally and virtually throughout the year.
Register for upcoming circles here.
What is The Wild Woman Project?
The Wild Woman Project is at once a philosophy (an invigorating approach to life as a wondrous, often messy, creative project) & a growing movement of courageous, creative, heart centered, and often weird & wonderful women on a mission to remember and (re)imagine what it means to be a woman – untamed. This is an official Wild Woman Project Circle www.thewildwomanproject.com
Until then, I'll see you in the wild,
